The night before the big day

We arrived in Imilchil, and headed straight for an auberge Angela had found advertised through bookings.com. The owner met us and showed us around. A garage to secure the bikes, plus a toilet and shower with hot water, all in an ensuite no less! That was enough to seal the deal.

After settling in, showering and doing a quick bit of laundry, we set off to explore this one horse town.

Imilchil is a staging point for people looking to drive the Dadès Gorge or go off road adventuring, and so the town is all hotels and restaurants, so it was easy to find a place to eat.

We have yet to learn our lesson, however, and are constantly served more food than we can possibly eat.

We had a pleasant stay at the auberge, although we were the only guests. We are managing to survive the chilly nights without heat by combining our sleep sacks with several heavy blankets. The last two nights have been incredibly restful.
