Salad and fries

So the GPS we brought with us for the trip is misbehavin’, and not in a way that results in serenity for me! Consequently, we were later than we wanted to be on the road. The bikes are running just fine, including the air temperature gauge, which reported the temperature dropping from 24°C to 16°C as fast as the sun fell. With an hour left to go, we stopped in at the sort of roadside restaurant that most would probably ignore.

With the staff speaking no English, French or Spanish, my secret back-up tool was employed to generate a tasty meal, including the sort of crusty bread I can only ever seem to find in Europe.

Two thumbs up to the staff for just doing their job feeding a couple cold, hungry travellers.
