Things we enjoyed:

Playa Coco – very touristy
Tamarindo – very touristy
La Leona Waterfall tour – great experience
La Fortuna
North Fields Coffee Tour – great experience learning and tasting coffee, cacao and sugar cane
– Sloth’s Territory – good tour
– Night tours in this area are overpriced and not great value
Catarata del Toro – nice hike in, beautiful waterfalls
Blue Falls of Costa Rica – same location, different hike; best if it hasn’t been raining
Templo Nuestra Señora de Las Mercedes – unique church worth a short visit
Crocodile Bridge – good place to look down on crocodiles; crocodile tours in the area are okay, but not fantastic
Crocodile Man Tour – boat tour up the river to look at crocs and other fauna; we saw some crazy big crocodiles
Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio – great place to walk through; fantastic beaches and lots of wildlife to see
San Isidro De El General – stay with Garry and Evelyn here (listed on Bunk-a-Biker); they provide great support to the ADV community
Sierpe – the start of a great ride leading to Drake Bay, including a short ferry ride
Golfito – there’s a great little dive shop here; Bob does a truly fantastic job of instruction; if you’re looking to learn to dive or get advanced certification, talk to Bob
