In retirement, that same inquisitive nature has led Morneau, who played 11 seasons with the Twins, down a path he never thought hed take, including owning a 16 1/2-acre farm complete with livestock and crops. Morneau missed the remainder of the 2010 regular season with the effects of post-concussion syndrome. Morneau attended Lord Tweedsmuir Elementary School in New Westminster, later transferring to Richard McBride Elementary School, where his mother was a teacher and coach and where he enrolled in a French immersion program.
